UBOA "Impossible Light" LP

Uboa’s fifth album Impossible Light almost never made it out of the dark. Conceived in 2018, it became a full-bodied record with a distinct new style and picks picks up where 2019's The Origin of My Depression left off, blending doom, harsh noise, and industrial metal/rock. The album captures Metcalfe’s experiences from 2018-2023, exploring queer sexuality, trans embodiment, grief, and hope of recovery. Collaborators include Blood of a Pomegranate, Otay:onii, Charlie Looker, & Haela Hunt-Hendrix.
